The 27-point direct selling evaluation checklist

Take it into any opportunity meeting. Tick each point when you have the answer in writing, add notes as you go, and don't pay anything until the money and earnings points are done.

A tick means you have the answer, not that the answer is good. Then read each answer against the 20 red flags. This checklist doesn't rate any company, and it isn't legal, tax or financial advice.

Using it well

How to use the checklist

  1. Fill the top with the company, who invited you and the date.
  2. Work down in order. Groups B and C (money, earnings) matter most.
  3. Ask for the missing answers in writing and tick them as they arrive.
  4. Wait a week before paying. Then decide.
What is a tick supposed to mean?

A tick means you have the answer, ideally in writing. It does not mean the answer is good. After you've ticked an item, read the answer against the red flags checklist.

Does the checklist rate a company?

No. It rates how well you've checked, not how good the company is. This site does not rank or rate companies.

Is this legal advice?

No. It is a general due-diligence aid. For a large decision, speak to a lawyer or accountant in your country.
